Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Position Summary- To provide temporary nursing care assistance to the regular staff of a healthcare facility during time of staff shortages and/or increased patient census.  The certified nursing assistant will report directly to the designated nurse or manager of the unit where assignment has been made.  The certified nursing assistant is not an independent contractor.  The certified nursing assistant is a paid employee of NCI/ Nursing Centers Arizona.

Position Duties- Taking vital signs.

Help with some medical procedures.

Assist patients entering or leaving their beds.

Tidy patient’s rooms. Answer call lights. Make beds. Deliver messages.

Monitoring patients and reporting changes.

Collecting samples for testing.

Provide patient hygiene.

Feeding patients.

Monitoring food and liquid input/output.

Performs activities of daily living.
